Hong Kong Griffin Marine Travel (HK) Ltd was established in 1995 on a joint venture basis. Since joining the Griffin Marine network it has become renown as being the only agency in Hong Kong with both a dedicated marine department and a corporate division. Griffin places great importance in the region and this is reflected by our commitment in 1999 to upgrade our Hong Kong office to a wholly owned enterprise. Our clientele consist of large ship management companies, shipping lines, ship owners as well as port and crewing agents. In addition, Griffin (HK) handles off-shore crew changes for the oil companies in Shekou, the offshore supply base in southern China. We also have a business relationship with several of the state owned shipping companies in China. Our corporate business market is a very important part of the Griffin set up in Hong Kong and contributes greatly to our overall business mix in the area. The "Greater China" coverage enables Griffin to provide an unrivalled marine travel service to clients with Chinese crews, and for traffic to or from China. The training programme that is going on will hold in good stead the future progress and expansion of Chinese personnel both for foreign ship owners and state owned shipping companies. Mr Albert Cheung is the general manager in charge of the day to day running of the company, ably assisted by twelve staff members, evenly split between corporate affairs and marine matters.
