Baltic Container Terminal Ltd. (BCT) is an independent company which has started its operations in May 1996. In the early eighties, to meet constantly growing demand in container traffic to and from the main industrial centers of the ex-Soviet Union, the Port of Riga was the only port in the Baltics chosen as ideal for the construction of a specialized container terminal.
