Neptune Shipping was established in 1997 to provide Liner and Bulk shipping services and Agency functions in the trades between Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Drawing from the Company's seafaring and commercial experience, Neptune is an active participant in the Charter markets as well as providing ship management and Technical services. Today, the company operates a fleet of 5 modern ships, employs 200 personnel, including 120 seamen and provides our clients in Fiji, the Samoas and Tonga shipping services to and from global markets. Our people are committed and dedicated. They know the Pacific and above all have a can- do attitude. We match the reliability of our ships with service excellence ashore. We are happy to share this experience with our clients. Pacific Specific From Australia we call directly at the ports of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. From New Zealand Lyttelton, Tauranga and Auckland. To minimise the cost of overland transport in Fiji, we call Lautoka on the Western side of Vitilevu and Suva in the East. From New Zealand our customers can reduce the cost of inventory by ordering on a "just in time" (JIT) basis because we operate fixed day fortnightly service arriving in Suva every second Wednesday and Lautoka every second Tuesday. With new ships serving Fiji from both New Zealand and Australia, our transit time is fast and our schedule is reliable, both key ingredients for JIT shipping. Connecting the Pacific to the World Neptune Shipping has recognised the need and opportunity for business in the Pacific to have frequent and reliable shipping connections so as to secure and grow trade in global markets. That's why Neptune has entered into strategic alliances with Maersksealand putting in place connecting carrier agreements and Agency agreements in Fiji, the Samoas and Tonga. Transhipment hubs for export and import cargoes have been established in Brisbane and Tauranga for relaying to Asia, South Africa, Europe, North and South America. Containers are transferred within the terminals at hub ports from Neptune feeder vessels to Maersksealand ships sailing on a fixed day weekly basis. We are confident that this alliance will play an important role in the ongoing business development for the South Pacific region. Cargo Care We specialize in both the carriage of containerised cargoes and awkward overdimensional freight, bulk cargoes including grains and liquid commodities with vessels fitted with tanks. To handle perishable cargoes and frozen meat or fish, we operate an extensive fleet of refrigerated containers. Above all, we take responsibility for putting in place procedures to ensure that your cargo is handled with utmost care and delivered in perfect condition. No matter how small or large the piece of cargo, we acknowledge that safe delivery is simply your and our reputation on the line. The Neptune Edge Modern ships, frequent and reliable schedules, equipment available when and where needed all at competitive rates provide a sound platform for partnering with our customers. But the real edge comes from our people, their knowledge of the Pacific, of our industry and above all, the company wide can-do attitude inspired by the unique mix of entrepreneurial and social responsibility of the Company's owners.
