Nippon Vopak is a joint venture formed by Royal Vopak, Nippon Express and Nagase. Nippon Vopak was established in 1966 and started operations in Kobe as the first public tank terminal company in Japan and expanded to Yokohama Terminal and Kawasaki Terminal,always making necessary renovation of facilities. In the changing chemical industry, Nippon Vopak is always ready to provide an interface between producers and end users offering our whole facilities and experienced staff. Nippon Vopak is the first public tank terminal company in Japan which obtained the certificate of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, providing customers assurance for safety, quality and environmental protection. Nippon Vopak is a provider of Integrated Logistics Services, both for tank storage management and for up-to-date infomation on liquid products distribution. 1966 Nippon GATX was established as a joint venture formed by GATX Corporation, U.S.A., Nippon Express and Nagase,starting operations at Kobe. Opened Kobe Terminal 1969 Opened Yokohama Terminal 1973 Opened Kawasaki Terminal 1994 Obtained the certificate of ISO 9002 as the first tank terminal company in Japan. 1999 Nippon Chemical Handling became a subsidiary, engaged in handling services for liquid products, tank cleaning, painting and other related works. This linked the storage service and handling service entirely. 2000 Obtained the certificate of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. 2001 Celebrating the 35th anniversary. Company name changed to Nippon Vopak since Royal Vopak became one of our major shareholders. Profile Situated in the middle of the industrial Zone Kawasaki Terminal is situated in the middle of the Industrial Zone nearest to Tokyo. 2 Jetties of 30,600 DWT and 2,500 DWT Larger vessels of 30,000 tons can berth directly to our terminal 4 Length: 171 metres with low tide depth of 10.4 metres for vessels of 30,600 tons. 5 Length: 89 metres with low tide depth of 6 metres for vessels up to 2,500 tons. Laboratory We have our own laboratory for testing and analysis for incoming and outgoing products. Other services We offer steam at 5 gks/cm2 We supply Nitrogen gas 300 Nm3 per hour. Truck scale of max. 40 tons with 15 metres length. Bulk liquid storage, handling and distribution ? (1) Berths are available for ships to/from overseas, which can be conected directly to/from tanks by our own pipelines for loading/unloading. (2) Analysis for quality control at Labo.
