Sea Ports Corporation (SPC) was established in 1974 as an independant Sudanese maritime body responsible for construction, development and maintenance of the ports, harbours and lighthouses. The port is divided between North quays (general cargo, edible oil, molasses) and South quays (containers, petroleum, cereals, roro, bulk).
