Dale A. Monson Managing Director Monson Agencies commenced operations under the name of Botany Bay Shipping Agencies Pty Ltd and was founded by our Principal, Mr Dale Monson in January 1981. The name change took place in July 1989. Our Head office is located at Suite 1/1 High Street Fremantle, Western Australia, with representatives in all Australian Ports. Our Singapore office, Monson Agencies Pte Ltd covers all agency requirements in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. This office has also operated since 1981. We attend to our principal requirements in India through Monship Agency Services, where our office is located in Visakhapatnam. Highly experienced personnel attend to all facets of shiphandling procedures including discharging and loading, arrival and repatriation, providoring, spare parts, shore repair facilities, shore accommodation and transport. We attend to all import and export commodities for trading houses and charterer's and are well aware of the importance of documentation requirements. We attend to containerised cargoes, from container packing to arranging inland delivery, on-board freight and documents to letter of credit requirements. For our Australian operation, the time difference between Fremantle and the eastern states of Australia means that we are two hours in winter time and three hours in the Australian summer, closer to Europe in operational hours and the same time zone as South East Asia. Daily reporting for all Australian ports is attended to by our Fremantle personnel. This information brochure has been compiled with port information which we believe will assist you. Monson Agencies offers shipping agency services to shipowners, importers, exporters and trading houses. Each service is specialised in its own field. Shipowners Special attention is paid to the following shipowners requirements - Keeping port disbursements and any vessel delays to a minimum. Protecting shipowners interest by attending to surveys at the most convenient position in the port. This could allow any hold cleaning ordered to be performed by the ships crew and alleviate any additional port costs. Paying special attention to the vessels fixture details and ensuring the maximum cargo is lifted. Disbursement accounts are dispatched within five (5) weeks of the vessels departure with the average time being four (4) weeks. Agency Fees - An all in agency fee can be quoted which includes overtime attendance, car hire, bank charges, communications to owners, photocopying, postages etc. The only additional expenditure is communications to the vessel. All loading documents are dispatched via courier as soon as possible following the vessels departure. Monson Agencies can also compile laytime calculations for your easy checking. Importers, Exporters and Traders Special attention is paid to the following requirements of Imports, Exporters and Traders - Monson Agencies attends to all required documentation. Special attention is made to compiling documents as required by letter of credit. Any commercial documents compiled by us are faxed to our principals to ensure all are correct prior to dispatching them by courier. The vessel position is updated on a daily basis.
