Company profile and history. VIB nv was established in 1974 as a shipping agency for the sea going dredgers operating on the Belgian Continental Shelf and the south coast of England for the private Belgian building industry. VIB also acts as port agent for a number of bunkering firms. Halfway the eighties the Ro/Ro traffic through Zeebrugge expanded and VIB diversified its activities into the field of ro/ro customs clearance, short sea activities and ferry bookings. From 1992 onwards our relations with some of our eastern European partners were intensified and with our sister company Sealane Europe nv, we now provide specialised road transport services of full loads to the major eastern European destinations. The increasing number of container ships calling at Zeebrugge were the basis to expand our worldwide forwarding service. Today we also provide warehousing and transhipment facilities, fiscal representation and act as marine insurance brokers. We also offer sworn translations for Russian, Polish and Czech.
