Voigt & Co. is fully owned by the holding company "Over de Tjonger b.v.". In October 2002, Over de Tjonger and all its subsidiaries, incl. Voigt & Co., were acquired by the Broekman Group. The Broekman Group of companies exist of an automotive and a shipping division, supported by a corporate service division. The history of Voigt & Co. goes back to 1857, when the German founder, Friedrich Anton Voigt, opened a small branch-office in Rotterdam to co-ordinate the transhipment of his cargoes on board inland river-vessels. Ever since 1857, Voigt & Co. has been operating in the field of shipping and transportation, serving importers, exporters and forwarders through the representation of shipping lines and shipowners. Voigt & Co. represents several well-known liner operators and parcel carriers serving all major area's in the world with both inbound and outbound sailings. The various represented services comprise deepsea container- and conventional lines, multipurpose and Ro-Ro operations, parcels carriers and shortsea feeder- and house to house services. Additional services such as inland transportation by road, rail or river-barge, custom clearance and other valued added services are included in the scope of activities of Voigt & Co. Voigt & Co. is ISO-9002 certified and continues to implement continuous actions to improve on its services to the customers. A copy of our ISO-certificate is enclosed. The activities of Voigt & Co. are performed at our Head Office in the Waalhaven area as well as from our Port Office, located in the same area. High speed datalines between the offices guarantee a fast reliable communication and data interchange. It goes without saying that besides the Netherlands, we cover the natural German hinterland with our activities, unless such is excluded by the principal. Conversant with all transport and cargo handling systems, Voigt & Co. covers all Dutch ports. Next to Rotterdam, our service covers the ports of Amsterdam, Dordrecht, Delfzijl, Moerdijk and Flushing. Voigt & Co.'s shareholders have clearly stated that shipping agency services are core-business and continue to invest in people and systems.
