Company profile We are a shipping line specializing in containers and project cargo between North Europe and North America. Our traditions can be traced back to 1912. Our unique business concept enables shippers to do business fast and efficient in order to meet changing market requirements. We are a 100% subsidiary of the Norwegian shipping group Star Shipping AS and are offering our customers first class containers on first class vessels. By working via local agents we are able to offer our customers the best of local knowledge and service at any time. From the headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, we are operating two container trades: Atlanticargo Between Europe and USA East Coast and Gulf Star Shipping California Trade Between Europe and USA West Coast. Containers In both trades we are offering door door movements to and from main destinations in Europe and USA. We are operating a top modern fleet of standard 20' and 40' containers, in addition to High Cube, Open Top containers and Flat Racks. Project Cargo In addition to containers our vessels are capable of handling all kinds of project cargo. During many years we have built up a first class know-how and service in the project cargo market. Today we are one of the major players in the project cargo market on the North Atlantic. New packing requirements Please be adviced that a new requlation will be implemented for all shipments with solid packing material arriving in the USA. Target for implementation was January 2, 2004, however, this target implementation date is now being adjusted to April or May 2004. All wooden packing material must be bark-free All wooden packaging material must be subject to a specific quarantine treatment, such us heat treatment or fumigation For every shipment a certificate confirming the treatment will be required (fumigation cerficate) Qualified fumigation should be marked on the packing, showing details of the processing agent, to be done by the customer prior to stuffing and delivery on the unit to the terminal For more detailed information, visit Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service .
