New three-year warranty Pleasure boat builders and owners now have even more reason to choose Scania engines, following the introduction of a three-year(1500 hour) basic warranty, extended to five years on certain parts. It is thought to be the most extensive warranty available from an engine manufacturer,and is available at no extra cost. The warranty is valid for all engine installations in non-commercial, planning pleasure craft that have been approved by Scania. Available in most markets, it covers all material and manufacturing defects on components and parts designed by Scania. Labour is also compensated for if an authorised Scania workshop carries out the warranty work and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the book.
