Victory Design is a naval architecture and marine engineering design house specialized in, but not limited to, high performance motorboats. Founded in 1989, the company has worked in various naval architecture and engineering fields, bringing to light products and boats born from it's founder hand, Brunello Acampora, and establishing tight collaboration with the most qualified professionals in the field. Styling, whenever appropriate, is normally undertaken by Nicola Crea, a professional industrial designer with a past in the automotive industry at prestigious firms such as Pininfarina, Fiat, Lancia and Mercedes. Delphine Rochereau and Massimo Bruni are all professionally qualified yacht & powercraft designers dealing with the day to day technical design issues at the Rome office. The firm's heritage is into the offshore racing field, having designed both monohulls (SM Racer powered by four engines with a top speed of 105 knots, current record holder of the Cowes Classic powerboat race) and catamarans (BILBOA, always fighting for the World Champion title, 1996 and 1998 Class 1 World pole position title holder) which are now milestones in the history of powerboating. Victory Design a line of high tech marine equipment such as steering and drive units; this includes numerically milled rudders and accompanying components constructed of high strength alloys - Aluminium; milled rudders constructed of Titanium, flush water intakes; "Flexitab" tabs and patented hydraulic trim pistons for its custom designed surface drive systems VDD (Victory Design Drive). Using this extensive racing experience, Victory has taken this technology to the cruising, commercial and military industry. The company is very active in the pleasure boat market, with its designs being built by many influent boatyards in Europe and abroad. All Victory designs are strongly characterised by up to minute styling and high performance, coupled with many structural and engineering features specifically developed to speed up production and reduce manufacturing costs. Tank testing programs are normally arranged and managed for new designs in connection with long term relationships with established UK facilities, this allows for extremely competitive tank fees and advance booking times. The consultancy field is representative of the Company's know-how and extensive structural research work is currently being carried out with the Italian builder Pershing, on the practical application of the SCRIMP (Resin infusion) process to their range of fast luxury powerboats. Victory Design's Aside the Rome studio, Victory Design has recently moved its new operative headquartiers in Naples, a fully computerized center geared with all the latest digital engeenering tools and new qualified staff. The company makes use of the latest CAD, fully 3-d packages running on professional workstations from Silicon Graphics such as ALIAS, and is able to supply 1:1 lofting for both hull and deck lines or files in most formats for the numerical control cut of frames or 5-axis machining. Full projects are handled for a wide range of issues from initial conception and naval architecture to detailed engineering and project management.
