MANN LINES LIMITED is part of MANN GROUP, owned by MANN & SON (LONDON) LTD based in Harwich, UK. Mann Group was established more than 50 years ago, and specialising in the automotive and forest products industries, the privately-owned Mann Group's UK agency business, Mann & Son (London) Ltd developed into one of the leading players in the early days of ro-ro shipping with a particular involvement in the Baltic Sea trades. The Group's own ro-ro terminal, Harwich Navyard Wharf, was one of the first purpose-built ro-ro facilities in the UK. In the beginning of August 2003, Mann Group aquired the company and entire operation of ESCO EUROLINES OU from Estonian Shipping Company (ESCO). Mann Lines has continued on the route from Paldiski to Aarhus and Kiel operated by Esco Eurolines. Presently, Mann Lines operates two regular ro-ro lines, using vessels MS Estraden and MS Hamburg. Mann Lines's long established weekly North Sea/Baltic liner ro-ro service serves the UK via Harwich, Finland via Turku, Estonia, Baltics, Russia and CIS via Paldiski, and Germany and Benelux via Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven. The line also serves Immingham-Turku/Paldiski and vice versa via Cuxhaven. Vessel in use on the route Paldiski-Turku-Bremerhaven-Harwich-Cuxhaven, is purpose built ro-ro vessel MS Estraden. Mann Lines has continued on the route from Paldiski to Denmark operated by ESCO Eurolines and via Paldiski we are now able to offer new connections to/from Denmark and Poland. Vessel in use on this route Paldiski-Kiel-Aarhus-Gdansk, is MS Hamburg. With its own offices in Harwich, Turku, Bremen, Paldiski and Gdansk using a common, integrated IT system, Mann Lines is able to exercise a high level of operational control door to door. Every member of the management team is dedicated to providing customers with a first-class service. Each of the Group's offices provides pre- and oncarriage as well as comprehensive logistics solutions for both general and project cargoes. MV ESTRADEN Ro-ro vessel, purpose-built in 1999 by AKER FINNYARDS in Rauma for the regular ro-ro route Paldiski - Turku - Kiel - Cuxhaven - Harwich - Cuxhaven operated by Mann Lines. Vessel is owned by Rederi Ab Engship, Turku. The ship is designed for fast loading and unloading of ro-ro and container cargoes. In addition to traditional ro-ro cargo such as cars and semi trailers, Mann Lines operate a fleet of ships roll trailers which are used to carry general cargo including steel, paper, timber and sheet materials from port to port. Cargo is securely fastened to the roll trailers with special lashings. The paper pictured is secured using the special Wisa Fix lashings. For products unsuitable for shipment on roll trailers, Mann Lines operate a fleet of containers, including pallet wide high cubes. The privately-owned Mann Group has been established over 50 years.
