Uni o Terminais was founded in 1978 and it is fully controlled by Unipar-Uni o de Ind strias Petroqu micas S/A. As a Port Operator, Uni o Terminais provides bulk liquid storage and handling services in its facilities in Santos and Rio de Janeiro, as well as in Paranagu , a terminal controlled in partnership with Vopak. All terminals allow bonded storage and are also linked to Siscomex (Integrated Foreign Trade System). Uni o terminals were built according to the applicable technical standards, and have all licenses required to perform their activities. Quality, safety and environmental control are major concerns at Uni o Terminais. We operate safe facilities using adequate procedures and continuously trained personnel. We maintain a perfect understanding with our commercial partners, with the port authorities, the internal revenue, the environmental authorities, the fire department, etc. Santos Terminal Located in the Alemoa district, beside Via Anchieta (which links Santos to S o Paulo), the terminal is easy to access and has a tank farm, which adds up 83,000 CBM (approximately 522,000 brls), distributed in 97 multiple-size tanks. The tanks are built both in mild and stainless steel, occupying a total area of 75,000 sqm. The terminal is linked to the Alemoa pier through 6 X 8" pipelines, boosted by an efficient pumping system. There are 3 berths, all able to receive ships up to 60,000 TDW. The truck loading area allows simultaneous operations of up to 20 vehicles per hour. The terminal is equipped with wastewater treatment and vapor emission control for all tanks. Within the premises, Uni o has its own lab and specialized personnel in charge of product quality, as well as cleaning and approval of tanks, lines and other equipment. The terminal's facility is streamlined with assets such as circulation areas, electronic truck scale, tank and pipeline manifold, shore tank to shore tank product transfer system, fire-fighting system, nitrogen purge and blanket for tanks and pipelines, as well as environmental protection systems including high-level alarm and closed circuit operations. All operations and administrative controls are computerized, offering quick feedback to our customers Rio de Janeiro Terminal Located in the Caju district, within the port area, the terminal has a tank farm , which adds up 17,000 CBM (approximately 107,000 brls), distributed in 24 mild steel tanks of 1,000 CBM, 500 CBM and 300 CBM (respectively approximately 6,300 brls, 3,100 brls and 1,900 brls). The terminal is connected to the Caju pier by four lines and allows the operation of ships up to 50,000 TDW. Simultaneous ship, truck and tank car loading and unloading operations, as well as transfers from shore tank to shore tank are available at the terminal's facility. The terminal also offers fire-fighting and environmental protection systems, electronic truck scale and computerized administrative controls. Paranagu Terminal Uni o Vopak, a joint venture between Uni o Terminais (50%) and Vopak (50%), is located in the Rocio district, within the port area. The terminal has a tank farm that adds up 45,000 CBM (approximately 283,000 brls), distributed in 20 mild steel tanks of various sizes. The terminal is connected to the pier for inflammable material of the Paranagu port through two lines and allows the operation of ships up to 40,000 TDW. Simultaneous ship, truck and tank car loading and unloading operations, as well as transfers from shore tank to shore tank are available at the terminal's facility. The terminal also offers fire-fighting and environmental protection systems, electronic truck scale and computerized administrative controls.
