Songkhla Port Details The port of Songkhla is located in the Gulf of Thailand at 07 degree 13 N. 100 degree 34 E. Access for vessels entering of leaving the port is via a 120 m wide channel dredged to 9.0m C.D. and some 4.0 km in length. There is a 300m turning circle to the westerly end of the quay. The tidal range on springs is 0.6m. Mean sea level varies seasonally and from year to year. Mean low water is +0.3m C.D. with water levels below this predicted to occur rarely. . The Port area amounts to some 9 hectares. The port of Songkhla is suitable for the working of large ocean going cargo vessels. The quay is 510m long with 30m wide aprons. The tidal flow within the ports limits does not normally exceed 2 knots. There is a minimum depth of water of 10m alongside.
