Cam Pha Location 21 01'23" N 107 22'13" E Pilot Station L'orange Island, at Lat. 20 43'24" N - Long. 107 10'18" E Pilot boards about one mile at South of L'Orange Island, VHF contact Ch.16 Distance from Pilot Station 26 miles Pilotage Compulsory (Day/night subject to tide) Channel Restriction (1) Inner road channel: ( It's used only for vessels loading coal at berth) having distance from Quay to inner road channel is 1.3 miles, with depth of 7.4 chart datum and it's required 0.8 M for bottom clearance. (2) Outer road channel: (for both vessels loading coal at berth/anchorage) having distance of 23 miles from Quay, with depth of 9.4 M chart datum. It is required 0.8m from bottom clearance. Tide Variation Tide varies min/max 0.8M - 3.8M. Tug will be Compulsory to Assist for Berthing and Unberth: Tugs 1 x 3,200HP; 1 x 1,000HP; 1 x 700HP Jib Crane 6 x 8 tons Open Storage 64,800 Square metres (for bulk coal) - Barges (for caol lighterage) : Capacity : 20,000mt Water Density From May to Sept. 1.1014 - 1.018 and From Oct to Apr 1.018 - 1.020 Availability of Fresh Water Provisions and MDO, IFO is always ready available. Loading Method Bulk coal coming from coal mine by wagon (Cap-2-3 mt each) then it's will be lifted by quayside crane onto vessel hold. or bulk coal can be loaded by conveyor belt. At Anchorage will be loaded by vessel gears (Crane's driver and grabs will be arranged by port's stvevedore). grab's cap 03, 05, 07 tones available at the port (incl cargos) Loading Rate : + At berth : For lump coal: 3,000mt - 4,000mt/day subject to size of coal For fines coal: 7,000mt - 8,000mt/day iwp + At anchorage For lump coal: 3,000mt - 4,000mt/day subject to size of coal For fines coal: 7,000mt - 8,000mt/day iwp + Working hour 24 hrs / day in 04 shift, 06 days a week. Sunday and Holiday will work if requested ny shippers Anchorages for Loading Coall at Campha Roadstead (Halong Bay Area): +Position (A) with max draft of 9.50M: At Lat 20 58'16" N- Long 107 20'36" E +Position (B) with max draft from 12.00 M - 14.00 M At Lat 20 55'3" N- Long 107 16'5" E 20 54'6 N- Long 107 16'1" The anchorage of Campha roadstead are located over good holding ground with sand/mud bottom and safe protect from all winds. Berth Quay Length Depth Type of cargo Loading method 1 300M 9.4M Bulk Coal Conveyor belt Vessels from 20,000 DWT up to 60,000DWT or even DWT/65,000 can be acceptable to load at berth, however, it can only be loaded at berth up to a maximum draft of 9.5m (subject to variety of tide conditions) and the balance quantity must be loaded top-off requested by Harbour Master to have three power Tugs assistance including 01 power tug will have to hire from Hongay. Please Note: Sailing draft is required for vessels from 9.50M up to 11.50M from Campha port is up to outer road channel and tidal conditions, regardless of loading berth/anchorage.
