Mercury Divers Co. Ltd. was founded in 1969 in Famagusta, by Mr. P.D.Orphanides, as Marine and Underwater Consultants Engineers and Underwater Contractors and Surveyors. In 1974, after the Turkish invasion of the island of Cyprus, the company made a shift from its original core business activities to the trade of diving and marine (yachting) equipment, electronic and navigation equipment, inflatable boats and RIBS and industrial safety equipment. Today, Mercury Divers Co. Ltd. is engaged into 3 major areas of activities: Yachting Diving Industrial Safety The island s geographical location, at the crossroads of three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa has transformed Cyprus, through the aeons of mankind s history, to the cultural, socio-economic and even political bridge amongst the peoples of this important area of the world. For this reason, Cyprus has gradually been developed into one of the most interesting, exciting and popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. Favourable tax incentives and a high standard of living have led to the development of Cyprus as an important business and tourist centre with first class telecommunications and there is a fast growing awareness among many foreign companies and individuals of the unique advantage of using Cyprus as a business base. Yachting Mercury Divers Co. Ltd. has the biggest selection of yachting equipment and accessories on the island, covering the needs of neighbouring countries too. It has fully qualified electronic engineers and a friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff. Diving Mercury Divers Co. Ltd. serves the needs in sports, professional and military diving equipment of the Cyprus market. Furthermore, our company supplies all the sports diving equipment on a wholesale basis through an extended dealers network diving schools, dive shops and marine sports shops that covers the whole island. It also has its own retail outlets: its Headquarters in Limassol and a Branch in Paphos. Industrial Safety Mercury Divers Co. Ltd. is engaged in the sales of Industrial Safety equipment to various factories, sewerage plants, shipping companies, the Cyprus Government and a number of semi-government institutions in Cyprus. Mercury Divers Co. Ltd., is a family owned and run business and employs 12 people, most of which are University Graduates with an excellent background, knowledge and experience of the international and Cyprus market. Our Technicians are fully qualified and receive constant and proper training abroad on all the new products every year. In general, all our people, from the technically qualified to our delivery man are properly trained and make sure that they work as a fine team to accomplish our company s mission. Our company has two exceptional locations: in Limassol, our Headquarters Showrooms and Offices (2000sqm) are situated between the Old Port and the New Port of the city and 100m from the location of the new and biggest Marina that will be built very soon on the island. In Paphos, our Branch is situated 50m from the main seafront road, in the heart of the tourist area. Our dealers, in the rest of the island, are also very well situated either in the heart of the tourist areas or in the main busy commercial centres of the Cyprus market.
