The definitions in this section apply in this Order. "Act" Loi "Act" means the Canada Shipping Act. "approved classification society" soci t de classification agr e "approved classification society" has the meaning assigned in subsection 2(1) of the Marine Machinery Regulations . "coasting trade" cabotage "coasting trade" has the meaning assigned in subsection 2(1) of the Coasting Trade Act . Application 2. This Order applies to every ship registered elsewhere than in Canada that ( a ) is engaged in the coasting trade of Canada; ( b ) operates within Canadian waters; or ( c ) makes a voyage or operates in any fishing zone of Canada prescribed under subsection 4(2) of the Territorial Sea and Fishing Zones Act . General 3. Part V of the Act and any regulations made under that Part apply to every ship described in section 2. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Established by the CONSOLIDATED REGULATIONS OF CANADA, 1978. replaced by SI/97-96 20 August, 1997 pursuant to subsection 420(1) of the Canada Shipping Act, in force July 30, 1997.
