In a joint venture between Sea Malta Company Limited and Gallozzi Group of Companies, Med Feeder Company Limited offers an extensive feeder service for the West Med. The company started operating in April 1994 and has to date expanded to a total of 9 vessels. Med Feeder is today calling 13 different ports in the west med, 45 port calls per week at 16 different terminals. Med Feeder carries cargo for Grand Alliance (P&O Nedlloyd, Hapag Lloyd, OOCL, NYK), Maersk-Sealand, Hyundai, Evergreen, Lloyd Triestino, Italia Line, Seagull Consortia (Italia Line, Ybarra, CCL) Med Pacific Express (Italia Line & D'Amico Line) and many others. Such services have to operate in consonance with the major container traffic flows within the Mediterranean. Ports served will be the Hub Ports of Malta and Gioia Tauro, and all main ports of the area. This service is a joint between MFC and UFS in whereby both companies will keep their own identity and commercial contacts to the lines. All 3 services will be operatively run by Med Feeder.
