Wilstow Ltd was established in 1973, primarily as a Shipbroking and Agency company, specializing in the world wide movement of edible bulk liquids and used to transport product for such household names as Martini, Cinzano, Harveys and Bass. As a member of the Baltic Exchange, we developed our knowledge of the dry cargo markets, specializing in East and West African trade to the India and the Far East, especially the movement of timber products and bagged agricultural products. In 1986, Wilstow Ltd, diversified into the importing of specialized for the UK market. Initially this was developing the market for roof top boxes, imported from the USA, but soon developed into a range of related products, sourced from Europe and the Far East, such as roof racks and bike racks. In 1992, ERDE Trailers was added to our range of products which we have successfully developed into a market leader, with the help of Halfords and other retailers. The ALU-Rax range of jogging strollers has also been added to this range of products, and is now one of the leading brands for jogging stroller, in the UK. These two branches have amalgamated into one warehouse/office complex, situated south of Cambridge. From this base, we import and distribute to the UK market, our leisure range of holiday/outdoor products and develop the market for new products. We aim to develop our partnerships, whether in the shipping of bulk goods worldwide or the marketing of quality products in the UK, to the mutual benefit of the partners, with quality of service and friendship.
