With plenty of space available, we have the capacity to handle and store large quantities of bulk cargo. In the East Harbour, there is room to expand into new bulk cargo activities. The Port of Aalborg has all the facilities and plant required with indoor as well as outdoor storage. Facilities and services: Facilities and storage capacity for grain and feedstuffs, coal, gypsum, stone and gravel, chemical products etc. Outdoor storage facilities in the form of very large areas with direct access to quay. Indoor storage facilities in the form of silos and warehouses, primarily for grain and feedstuffs as well as tank capacity for oil and chemical products. Bulk cargo in containers 24-hour service for loading and unloading of vessels. All necessary facilities for cargo handling with modern quay plant, cranes - both grab and hook, of which the largest can lift up to 45 tonnes, ordinary trucks, container trucks and terminal tractors. Weighing and measuring facilities as well as inspection and quality control services. Public customs warehouse for storage of cargo from third countries. Containers In recent years, the Port of Aalborg has experienced a rapid growth in container handling, based on the North Atlantic traffic. With its central location and extensive area, the Port of Aalborg is an attractive destination for container cargo. The port has large areas available for new container activities and can provide all the required facilities and terminals for storing and handling of container cargoes. Facilities and services: Container activities are centered on the East Harbour, in the terminal areas in the Greenland harbour, in the Container Terminal and the Multiterminal. 30,000 square metres for handling and storing of containers. 29,000 cubic metres cold stores/freezing capacity. CFS facilities, reefer plugs and EDI solutions. All necessary facilities for handling containers, including modern ramps, fork-lift trucks and cranes. Container gantry crane with 26-metre reach from edge of quay (10 containers) and 42/50 tonnes lifting capacity as well as mobile crane for containers. 24-hour service for loading and unloading of vessels. Container service, including cleaning, repair of dry boxes and reefer containers, interchange control and CSC control as well as PTI check of reefer containers. Public customs warehouse for storage of cargo without need to pay customs duties, VAT and other charges immediately. The Port of Aalborg is Denmark's only destination for Greenland traffic. This change has provided an opportunity for new, experimental forms of cooperation in which we can operate on a broad front in the field of transport. General conditions. The present set of regulations provides guidelines and conditions for users of the Port of Aalborg. With the intention to promote activities and initiatives, which will contribute to a positive development, the Port of Aalborg is also ready to enter into individual agreements. The superior regulations governing the Port of Aalborg are contained in Regulations for the Port of Aalborg and Standard Regulations for Danish Traffic Harbours . Ordering of services. The Port of Aalborg wishes to support the equality of the various transport modes. When loading and discharging in the Port, infrastructure fees will be charged such as: Shipping - and commodity dues, railway dues and dues on lorries.
