Port of Norrköping offers a comprehensive service offer, both by sea and rail. From here you can reach not only the rest of Europe, but much of the world with an effective mix of direct current trans-ocean liner, feeder and an extensive network of rail intermodal traffic.

Several major shipping lines are using Norrköping as a major base for its services, both between the Baltic Sea and the continental ports, and the more distanced destinations like the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf and Asia. 

Short Sea Shipping regular service runs between Norrköping and in ports such as Russia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Britain. MSC, TeamLiness and Transatlantic are some shipping companies that account for this traffic. 

On the rail side actors are responsible for a frequent cargo and container traffic, with routes to destinations within and outside the country. 

An important resource for the ocean-going traffic is the heavy lift crane in the port, which is the strongest port crane in Sweden. This resource is frequently used by industry companies such as ABB Asea Brown Boveri and Siemens for their heavy goods and project cargos.
