Professional Activity:
1982-1993 Constanta Shipyard, Mechanical-Electrical Department, in New Buildings Factory, for commissioning of all electromechanical installations and belonging outfitting elements for newbuilding ships and, also, ship repairs activity. Sea trials with all new ships.
1993-1998 Dispatcher in Dry Docks Department of Constanta Shipyard. Responsible for all docking plans, flooding of dry docks, maneuvering of dock gate and of new entered ship for docking and undocking. Inspection of steelworks, tightness test and paint before undocking of repaired ships (especially under the floating level).
1998-1999 Chief of Dry Docks Department of Constanta Shipyard. 1999: Employed by ‘BOSDIJK.b.v’ .Holland as Bureau Veritas Surveyor for “KAMAR Shipbuilding b.v.”-Holland and “Companie Fluviale de Transport”- France for newbuildings in China (on Yangtze River, one year, in several shipyards: Nanjing, Jingjiang, Zhengjiang, Taixing, Yongan, Kouan and finally in Shanghai, for loading of all 41 ships, according to drawings approved by Insurance company). Job accomplished in one year.
2001-2002 Coordinator for ship repairs in Romania, for several clients.
2002-2004 Surveyor for 2 reefer ships, newbuildings of MPC (Munchmeyer Petersen Marine-Germany, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, only for reefer holds (building and alignment of twin decks, insulation job for all decks, side loading system-Handling Room).

Professional Experience:
2008 – 2010 Senior Hull (Paint) Supervisor for 177.000 DWT Capesize ships, built in China, for Orion Bulkers – Germany, in Shanghai Jiangnan- Changxin S.Y. and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard (SWS).
2004 -2007 Hull and Paint surveyor for several vessels built in China for Peter Doehle Schiffsahrt – Germany, in Jingjiang and Jiangyin-Yangzijiang Shipyard. Projects: 7600 DWT Multipurpose Dry Cargo Vessel, 1574 TEU Container Vessel, 2500 TEU Container Vessel, 13000 DWT Bulkcarrier (10 bulkcarriers and 14 container vessels), with all specific tests: folding and hose test of hatch covers for bulkers, stanchions, cell guides, container sockets and hose test for hatch covers for container vessels.
2002 -2004 After one month of familiarization with new project in Hamburg, I was sent to Viana do Castelo- Portugal to survey the decks building in reefer area, to insure the required height of all compartments, especially to their connection with Handling Room. I made surveillance for all insulation job and brine pipes system, according to approved drawings and requirements of ABS Rules.
2001-2002 According to ship drawings, I surveyed repairs to different ship’s hull areas, deck machineries, steering gear and engine room installations (diesel-generators, fired boilers, bilge separators, fuel and oil separators).
1999-2000 From september1999 till September 2000 I worked as surveyor in East China. I was starting there with steel plates approval, solving all problems with shipyard’s design department to eliminate every misunderstanding regarding owner’s drawings and to find together technological solutions (depending on shipyard’s knowledge and possibilities) to be in accordance to B.V. rules and owner’s requirements. I checked all built sections for good welding, steelplates thickness, dimension of profiles. Surveillance for erection of sections on slipway, alignment of erected sections, preparing of edges before welding and elimination of deformations after welding. Tightness test for compartments and tanks, final measurement of ship’s dimensions, sandblasting and paint, measurement of dry film thickness for every paint coat. Ship’s documents including Welding Technology and Welding Materials, Welder’s Certificates, X-Ray test, Tightness test, Main Dimensions, Paint Certificate, Launching Protocol.
1993-1998 Activity at Dry Docks Department of Constanta Shipyard, Romania. I made docking plans for all ships coming to dry docks for repairs. I surveyed all steelworks status, tightness test and paint, especially under floating level, to avoid subsequently problems when flooding docks and launching of ships. Responsible, in the same time, for all automations of dry docks: flooding valves, pumps, dock’s gate, ship’s supply with energy and water from shore.
1982-1993 Service Engineer at Mechanical-Electrical Department in Constanta Shipyard. I made commissioning for next installations: - Steering gear, Automatic pilot and Gyro “Yokogawa”-Japan and “Anschutz”-Germany -Fired boilers (different types) -Diesel generators “Hyunday”-Korea, “Kawasaki”-Japan, “Burmeister &Wein” -Oil and fuel separators “Westfalia”-Germany -Bilge separators-several types -Conditioning and refrigerating systems “Sabroe”-Norway I was, also, present in every sea trials with all new ship built in Constanta Shipyard.
